Ling Richards is a Senator on Earth trying with a handful of other Senators to save one of the last green forests left on Earth. Big corporate giants want the property for new building projects. They have threatened her and the others opposed to giving up one of the last small green places. Recently two other Senators died under mysterious circumstances. She has been warned that she will be killed next unless she capitulates. She quickly packs a small bag and leaves to go to a sleazy motel. She hears a couple of thugs asking for her and she runs scared, right into the offices of Celestial Mates. Well,
why not get off Earth. It may be her only chance at survival.

She is processed and told she has a perfect mate, a prince on the planet Alva. And, off she goes.

Only when she arrives, it is not the price she was expecting. His name is Malathin and he is not very nice. He takes her not to house Viir, home to Naefaren, but to House Saren and locks her in a beautiful bedroom. She tricks a guard and makes her escape, but is injured. Naefaren is thrilled to have her back in House Viir. Major House Viir holds regular meetings with the other Major and Minor Houses to discuss trade and now defenses. They set up a means to signal one another when there is trouble. Meanwhile their houses are all thriving and their people more prosperous than ever.

The only problem is the rapidly declining birthrate. Those that have Earth brides have no problem conceiving children and more are applying to Celestial Mates, but Ling finds out that the women too want a chance at a home with children. Being a politician she plans on making that one of her priorities. She is rapidly learning the Alvan language and regularly attends the all male meetings attended by the coalition of Major and minor houses. She is learning a lot and occasionally adds to the discussions. She is keeping a notebook on her ideas for improvements. Her husband, Naefaren, used to complete control is amazingly understanding.

After they finally mate, she can feel hi5s thoughts, and he hers. It is a true match.

The world-building is done well and although there are more trials for Ling and Naefaren, they make it to their HEA. I rated this book a solid 5 stars!

I can't get enough of these books. This one takes us to Alva's dark tunnels again. Ling is likeable and the Prince is smart and sexy. The p!plotline kept my interest. Good book.

Prince Naefaren of House Viir, had registered with Celestial Mates for a pari match. However, he had no idea that he was matched with Ling Richards until after she was kidnapped on the way to meet him. I love this book and the entire series. They are fast paced and are full of action and romance. I felt like I was watching a movie and was engaged from the minute I started reading until the story ended. I want to read more about the Alva. Five stars.
Finally! I have been wishing for Naefaren's story since the first book in this series. You knew his Pari would have to be a strong woman and Ling is.
As a Senator on Earth, Ling has been fighting to save what little "green space" is left. When it becomes obvious that people are willing to kill to get hold of the land, Ling runs for her life. She ends up at a Celestial Mates office where she is paired with Naefaren and transported to Alva. Ling's arrival on Alva doesn't go as planned and she finds herself hostage in a political move. Will Naefaren be able to save her? What will happen between the Houses now? I love this series, This story introduces some new Princes. It also voices an interesting question "What about the females? Don't they deserve a chance to meet their Pari?". Hmmm....possible future books?
