That plus to much time on the plot and not enough time bonding the main characters was the reason for two stars. I never felt the trauma Sasha went through. It was just glossed over and she mostly just acted like a childish brat. I understand she was abused since she was a child but because it was just lightly touched on, it did nothing to endear me to her character and made me wonder what Beau saw in her. I think some time with some of the other Heroines from this series to gain some empathy would have also benefited her. Her temper tantrums were not cute or showing me she was getting stronger. As a matter of fact her refusal to care about any of the other victims was just another childish and selfish aspect to her character. I did like Beau quite a bit and was sorry he was going to be stuck with this girl. His constant leaving did not make me feel the level of care he supposedly felt though. Especially and she was so emotionally and physically fragile. I was interested I. The daughter/neice of the villain and am ready for them to finally find Niko's sister.Product details

Beau was hot, sexy, alpha. He was finally able to realize he did belong in the family business, instead of, trying to run from his family. I liked him much better as a Mafiya heir. And Sasha was beautifully written blossoming from sex trade victim to her full potential.
Loved this book!!!! It written as a standalone but I would definitely recommend reading the Ruskya Mafiya series for a little more back story on all of the characters. Beau is the cop who has to try to choose between his life as a cop and a member of his mafia family. Sasha is the rescued beauty who helps make his choice easier. Such a great love story with just the right amount of action! Mrs. Knight never fails to impress!!! 💜💜
Beau and Sashas story was a nice easy read. A good addition to this series.
It was great to see the relationship between Beau and his cousins Tate and Viktor. The ending seemed a bit rushed but nothing massive.
Sapphire Knight did it again another awesome story that I couldn't put down I can't get enough of these hot dominit Russians and there beautiful warrior wives. Beau and Sasha's story was very heartbreaking and frustrating but considering the circumstance heck of love story. Look forward to more to this series hopefully.
Love me some hot mafia men. There is something about a hot Alpha man and his crew. Author hit it out of the park as usual. Can't wait to see more.
Another great addition to this series. I would recommend reading the previous books but it isn't all that necessary to follow Beau and Sasha's story. So we see Beau go through some internal struggles about the direction his life is going and when he see's Sasha he knows what he must do. Sasha who has been through hell comes out stronger with the help of Beau's family and we see the transformation she makes into an independent lady.
Note that this review is for all 4 books Secrets, Corrupted, Unwanted Sacrifices and Undercover Intentions.
Enjoyed the story line of the Russkaya Mafiya, began reading this series after the Oath Keepers MC series as the characters appear in both series. LOVE when that happens - when you get involved with the "family and friends" and their stories, hence the 4 stars.
The descriptions and the order of the books are confusing in the first 3 as they show up as overlapping to the Oath Keepers series, 3 of the 4 books are available in Russian Roulette. I do not know if the formatting and editing issues have been cleaned up for Russian Roulette.
What I didn't love was the editing issues in Secrets, Corrupted, Unwanted Sacrifices, they seemed to get worse the further in the series you got, actually beginning with the last book in the Oath Keepers MC collection, and how the dialogue during a sex scene (unnecessary in my opinion) was so poor that it bumped you out of the story. Also did not like was the rushed endings, with some of the trauma the heroines go through more time and processing needs to happen to make it believable, however I appreciate that the time spent on their recovery was not endless navel gazing.
I also appreciated how a problem we are hearing about more and more is tackled and dealt with.
Overall because of the story line, yes I'd recommend, this book, the Russkaya Mafiya series and the Oath Keepers MC series. Just be ready for a few bumps.
