Heartbound by P I Alltraine is an amazing, wonderful, romantic story and is as beautiful as its cover. The book is written from the point of view of Petyr, a being secretly living in our world with some of his fellow kind who are here to learn about humans.

Petyr meets Scarlett at university and we are given insights into Petyr’s thoughts and feelings about first love. But we are also introduced to the mystery of the Forbidden. As Scarlett and Petyr develop their relationship, we discover that Scarlett and her family are in grave danger just by Petyr and Scarlett being together. Petyr’s friends are concerned not only about their mission in our world but also that Petyr may not be able to resist the Forbidden or may even consider doing something even worse.

This is a beautiful story, full of love, romance, fantasy, adventure and the paranormal, and it will keep you enthralled from the opening scene, right through all the intriguing and unexpected plot twists until the huge surprise at the end of the book. I need to read the next book right now!!

Heartbound is beautifully written and the writing style is easy to read. The characters are full of depth and very likeable. Scarlett is a strong and believable heroine and Petyr is clearly going to be the next popular book boyfriend. The world building for Petyr’s home is done really well and the place sounds so magical and enchanting and just simply beautiful that I wish I could visit it myself. The story also has a very interesting soul concept which I quite liked the sound of. I read this book very quickly, it was so captivating, and I just could not put it down. This is definitely a must read book!

I really loved reading Heartbound and I highly recommend it to anyone who likes paranormal romance.

This book was wonderfully fascinating!

My favorite part is when Scarlett is asked out on her date because it was such a sweet moment. It makes my heart feel warm and fuzzy.
When I finished the book, have too many questions in my head. I wish this book is longer because there's really a room for that. The plot and all the characters are interesting enough for me to keep on reading. Would definitely be more happy if the author explains more why certain things happen.

Nonetheless I still love this book. And will still read the second book.
This is a very unique story. We're introduced to a race of aliens who are divided into subgroups based on their abilities. Some of the words they toss out in conversation aren't explained until later in the story, which got to be a little confusing.

I have to admit that I was much more enamored with the fantasy aspects of this story than I was with the "romance" between Petyr and Scarlett. It seemed more like an obsession on Petyr's part, and that didn't appeal to me at all.

Once the focus shifted to Petyr's world, I was definitely hooked. And the whole concept of the Forbidden was captivating as well.

There are supposed to be more books in the series, and I can hardly wait to see what is going to happen in them.
Petyr has spent all of his life protecting the Cortas, until now. Petyr and a few other members were sent to Earth to discover why humans had an effect on them. Just when their mission can't get any worse, Petyr meets her. Petyr has a new mission now. To get to know this human that makes him feel this way. Love is a strong thing and Petyr now knows that. He is in love with a human, but he can not show his true identity to her without falling for the forbidden. Is their love to be? What other dangers are humans to the Cortas?

This book was very interesting. The beginning was pretty slow, but it started to progress later in the book. The author did a great job of showing their abilities and describing their inner cores. There were a lot of scientific words in it and a sweet romance. The "Forbidden" was confusing, but it was starting to clear toward the end. I could not find it on Barnes and Noble, so I'm sorry.
This is one of those books that sounded really good. When I opened it up to read it. I found myself only sitting and reading one chapter at a time. I got to chapter four and then took a break from this book. When I came back to this book revived and ready to jump into it, I found that my feelings about this book had not changed from the first four chapters.

There was nothing exciting about Petyr's world or Petyr himself. Also, I did not feel the connection between him and Scarlett. I was trying to figure out what it was about this book besides what I already stated that made me struggle with this book and I realized it was comments like "This was also the day when I started to eat human food." "The cafeteria food was far from tolerable." I did not need a play by play of everything that Petyr was experiencing. Plus the lack of the story moving from talking to action was another issue. Overall, this book was not for me but it is not to say that this book might be some other reader's cup of tea.
